COMPOSERS' CONCERTS

Newtown High School Composers' Concerts feature student work from the school's music theory and music technology programs. With projects ranging from classical-style chorales to contemporary electronic music, the concerts demonstrate our young composers' abilities to merge technique and structure with personal expression. Works are sometimes performed by the school's New Music Ensemble, a small group of instrumentalists specially assembled for the occasion. "I'm always thrilled," says teacher Chris Lee, "to present the work of our student composers, who continually impress me with their creativity and technique."
